U9-U18 Rec Indoor

U9-18 Rec Teams - Phoenix (North East) District

Winnipeg Phoenix FC follows and maintains the Canada Soccer club licencing requirements under the Standards of Quality Soccer (SQS) and includes area community clubs wishing to offer youth soccer programs in the North East area of the City of Winnipeg, to participate under the Phoenix SQS license. Our goal is to create a consistent program across the entire district, including fees, and improve the overall quality of the soccer programs.

If you live in the East End Community Club catchment area, you must register directly with the community club.  Please see their website for more information: Indoor Soccer | Transcona East End C.C. (eastendarena.ca).

You must live in the Phoenix Area to register (Elmwood, East Kildonan, North Kildonan or Transcona) with the club.  If you are unsure of where to register, please contact jennifer@phoenixsoccer.ca.

Registration

Please review all the information, the link to registration form is at the bottom of the page

Indoor Recreational Soccer Season - Players in the U9 (born in 2014) - U18 (Born in 2005) age groups looking to register for indoor soccer will do so via the Central Registration Portal.

Registration is now closed

At the conclusion of registration, teams will be created. Teams are usually a combination of players from a number of community clubs playing out of a host club.  Your child MAY be placed on a team hosted by any of the clubs in the district. For example, even if you live in the Gateway catchment area, you could be assigned to a team out of Valley Gardens.

In some situations, we may not have enough players to field a team.  In those situations, we will look to transfer the players to another community centre outside of the Phoenix district.

On rare occasions, players from different ages may be combined in order to form a team.  We do our best to avoid doing this.

A team representative will contact you approximately two weeks prior to the start of the season which runs from the beginning of November until the middle of March. If you haven’t been contacted by a team representative by November 1, please contact Winnipeg Phoenix FC by e-mailing jennifer@phoenixsoccer.ca to find out where you are playing.

Season Overview

The schedule is usually available 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the season. Teams will usually play one match per week (16-18 total games) either played Thursday (either gender), Saturday (females only) or Sunday (males only). The venues of play will be the WSF Soccer North (Leila), WSF Soccer South (UofM), and the University of Winnipeg RecPlex.

Teams will be assigned a practice gym one evening per week at a school in the area. This night is subject to gym availability and could be any night of the week.  Gyms may not be available certain days or weeks due to school functions. Practice dates, times and location will be communicated by the coach early in the season.
