Adam & Mauricio’s update:

Welcome back! Excited to be back together as a team. This may be the last year. U11 increases roster size to 15, so there may be the experience of cuts.

Goals

Development - equal playing time - difficult with 13 players, but will work to keep shift lengths down

Positions - right at onset - allows girls to settle in; grow in comfort in game; build confidence with ball and familiarity with role, game understanding, and role

Not opposed to trying new positions; these are our preferences for the girls

Win - push girls and drive up competition level

Expectations - Attitude & Effort; listen and a positive attitude

3 step approach to correct behaviour:

  1. Ask girls to stop
    2. 1:1 chat on the side
    3. Sit out

Games - 30 min early to dress, warm up/game plan review

Practice - on-time

Late - send text or RAMP message

Parent Intervention - No parent direction or re-direction during games.

Potential Tournaments -

Phoenix Cup - May 16 - 20 - $425 per team
Greater Grand Forks Soccer Tournament - June 28 - 30 - cost TBD
Tri-City Tournament, Fargo - June 21 - 23 - cost TBD
Boston Pizza Players Cup - TBD

As a Phoenix team, we are expected to participate in the Phoenix Cup over May Long weekend.

Fundraising - may be required to offset tournament costs/fees for families
